Heron Wind is committed to promoting the development of renewable wind energy.  Our goal is to lower the cost of energy for wind, provide comprehensive solutions for community wind projects, and to assist in dealing with global climate change.

As a bird indigenous to the state of Michigan, the Heron symbolizes our company's dedication to environmental responsibility, patience in achieving long term goals,  the wisdom of protecting our natural habitat, and the wealth of Michigan's natural resources. 

Our Story

Heron Wind Manufacturing, LLC, is Michigan-based with locations in Traverse City and Ann Arbor. Originally established in Traverse City, Heron Wind's headquarters are located in the historic Grand Traverse Commons on the west side of Traverse City. Ann Arbor is home to Heron Wind’s Financial Division and houses part of the company’s research and development team.

One of the key business strategies at Heron Wind is vertical integration, providing expertise and specialized services to simplify the otherwise challenging process of commissioning wind turbines. Heron Wind will provide the comprehensive planning services needed to effectively deliver clean energy to utilities and consumers.
